Carol McKinney
Carol McKinney is an educator for Janome America. Ever since she taught herself to sew, Carol has been perfecting her skills. She went from making clothing for herself and her family to designing and marketing wearable art vest patterns and teaching classes on the appliqué cut-work construction. In 1997 she won first prize in the Sulky Challenge and had projects featured in two Sulky concepts books. In 1996 Shirley Adams featured Carol’s Cherokee Nations vest on her program. Two of her Peek-a-Boo Pleats garments were included in Serger Art by Diane Bossom, published in 1997. In 2002 Threads Magazine featured her machine embroidery lace technique. Carol has had numerous projects featured in “Janome Digest” and has taught at Janome Institute three times.
