Larger image not availableDo you love the look of Stained Glass? Are you intimidated by appliqué? Now you can learn a quick, easy and fun way to make stained glass quilts! You no longer have to use raw edge, registration marks, paper piecing, reverse appliqué, satin stitching, fusible web, etc. Your quilts will be soft, not stiff. This requires no piecing, just add black leading to your top, stitch and quilt at the same time reducing your stitching by 50%!, this workshop is fun for everyone, and appropriate for all levels. This is only a sample of your project. You will be able to choose from one of Quilters Treasure patterns at the class.

Do you fear making a mistake in machine quilting? Practice your free form machine quilting skills by simply following the lines of a hand-painted batik panel. Learn how to quickly assemble your quilt sandwich with basting spray and begin quilting. Use a hand-dyed fabric for your backing, and use variegated thread on top and bottom to create a fantastic reversible project!

Kit includes: An 18” hand-painted batik panel of your choice, coordinating border fabric -2 strips 7 ½” x 18” & 2 strips 7 ½” x 32”, batting 36” square, hand-dyed backing 36” square, and variegated thread. Kit Cost $30

You will be working with different fibers to create different effects and you get to experience techniques such as flat surfaced designs, dimensionals for berries, animal characters and more. Blending, shading, outlining, just go wild with a needle. Included will be recipes for hand dying wool to create your own color palette using household products.

This design incorporates several basic bead embroidery and silk ribbon embroidery stitches. Beading backstitch, picot, tiny flower and daisy ribbon stitches.
Kit includes Size 11/o seed beads: assorted flower and leaf colors (pinks, white, blues, greens), Size #3 bugle beads, brown iris and green iris, Butterfly sequin, 4mm silk ribbon in flower colors and green, 7mm green, #11 straw needles, silk ribbon needles, Silamide thread, medium weight sturdy fabric, color of choice, about 8” x 8”. Using her creative sweatshirt jackets as teaching samples, you will learn to identify the successful use of these all-important principles enabling you to approach your own creative sewing with a newly-trained, artistic “eye.”
